Recently, China United Engineering Corporation’s New Energy Engineering Design and Research Institute, as the lead unit, formed a consortium with Shandong Industrial Equipment Installation Group Co., Ltd. and successfully won the general contracting of the sludge resource utilization project at Shanfa Longcheng Industrial Park. They are continuously delving into the field of sludge resource utilization, advancing with great determination on the path of green development.

The project is located in Zhucheng City, Shandong Province, with a daily sludge treatment capacity of 1,200 tons. Upon completion, the project will promote the local sludge treatment towards a green and low-carbon direction, effectively enhancing the capacity for ecological environmental management and achieving a win-win situation in terms of both economic and social benefits.

During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, China’s ecological civilization construction has entered a crucial phase, with a focus on carbon reduction as a key strategic direction. This involves promoting coordinated efficiency improvements in pollution and carbon reduction, driving comprehensive green transformation in economic and social development, and achieving a qualitative improvement in ecological environmental quality. The resource utilization of sludge is a future priority and development trend, since sanitary landfill cannot meet the requirements of sustainable development. Sludge treatment technology should actively learn from good experiences, adapt to local conditions, promote resource utilization, and turn waste into treasure.
