Sludge Treatment

Since the 1980s, based on the experience of thermal power plants design, CUC has researched a variety of solid waste fluidized bed incineration process routes to realize the centralized treatment of solid waste in the park. Among them, coordinated incineration of sludge is the mainstream process route. CUC has successively undertaken more than 20 sludge incineration projects, such as Dayuan Sludge Drying and Incineration Project of Zhejiang Fuchunjiang Environmental Thermal Power Co., Ltd., Sludge Comprehensive Utilization Cogeneration Project of Wenzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, the 4000 tons/day Sludge Treatment Project in Xiaoshan District,etc. The scale of sludge treatment capacity ranges from 800t/d to 4000t/d. Among them, the 4000 tons/day Sludge Treatment Project in Xiaoshan District adopts “Sludge Plate and Frame Filter Press + Incineration Power Generation with Coal Blending” as the process route. The generated steam drives the steam turbine to generate electricity. In addition to supplying electricity for equipment in plant, the surplus electricity sent into the grid, achieving good economic benefits. So far, the sludge treatment capacity has achieved 110% continuous overload operation, and the longest continuous operation time of the plant has exceeded 300 days. This project won “The Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of Ministry of Machinery Industry” and “The Second Prize of Design Consultation of Ministry of Machinery Industry”.
In recent years, with the requirement for municipal sludge treatment, CUC has made efforts in the municipal sludge treatment market and has made exploration and practice in the sludge bubbling bed incineration process and the sludge self-sustained incineration process. In 2021, CUC won the bid for the 700t/d Sludge Treatment Project of Shanghai Jiading Chengfa Environmental Sludge Treatment Co., Ltd. The project adopts 2 bubble-bed sludge incinerators, which would surely become a benchmark in the municipal sludge treatment field after completion.
